You and your sense of humor bring life and light to the c-box as well as so much more. You're a staff member that honestly always goes above and beyond the call of duty when I ask of something and I do hope you'd be around here for a long time to come. Holly Hopkins, Being a scientist with so little common sense, and such a bad memory... how does she survive in this world? Its called pure luck or her super human babysitter Wesker. An all around funny character to RP with as well as read, Holly is a scientist that tries to do good even as she is doing bad. The woman who is a ditz and is a genius. Thats Holly Hopkins!
Couple
Steve Burnside and Claire Redfield. A classic Resident Evil couple that really is so awesome to read here on Regeneration! Their respective RPers portray the relationship the two have so well, and its just awesome to see them together here. Steve although younger has his quirks and charms that wormed their way into Claire's heart.

The Restless Heart, The Promised Land. Whoever has not read this thread should honestly read it. I recommend it to anyone on this forum, if they want an amazing read. Not only that but the events in the thread itself were touching. Honestly if someone wants an amazing RP thread to read through, you need to read this!

The question of knowing if she could remember before she was brainwashed into being Wesker's bodygaurd struck her attention. Jill blinked once, repeating that quesiton in her mind. "Not when I was under his control, no. But after? Yes, I do remember everything before then." She said.
Of course, being under Wesker's control for nearly three years should of wiped out her entire memory completely. But thanks to the two BSAA agents that tore the device off of her, Jill was able to keep what precious memories she had before then, and even the worst/bad memories too. It was not exactly brainwash -- just believed to think that what Wesker says, she does.
Jill watched as Julia pulled out a srygine, followed by a gel-like disc. It was questionable, too. "There has to be a way to end it, Julia. For every virus, there is a cure. If you -- no, if we look into it, you can be free from Wesker. I can help. I know what it was like being under his control. I want to help you, Julia." Words meant truth. Jill didn't want to see another person fall under the same events that happened to Jill herself. She wanted to see freedom for Julia, away from Wesker's bidding.

After a few seconds the hissing noise of the syringe's auto injector disappeared and Julia pulled away the now expended syringe and pulled out the disc. "Your lucky you can still remember the past Jill... I can only remember life as a slave." She said quickly before Jill said that she would try and help Julia. The thought of someone who she barely met helping her whouldve made her laugh several days earlier. But now looking at the situation now made her chuckle a little bit.
"Its not as if he has me under complete mind control or anything like he did to you Jill... Its more he keeps me in place by being the only one that keeps me alive and more or less human. From what all the scientists that we have working for us say is that I should be dead already. The virus's violently mutated within me creating some super strain that they havent been able to find a sedative so that my body can counteract it. So I am stuck unless a brilliant scientist with intimate knowledge of all of the virus's mysteriously appeared and could precisely recreate the discs of antirejection 'cure'. I would be dead within a week of leaving." As she spoke she slid off her guns from her shoulder holsters placing them down onto the ground next to the sunglasses she had removed.
With a deep sigh she rolled her head back looking up through the holes in the tin roof. "Do you ever just look up into the sky and think why it is we are where we are in life Jill? Cause I know I do... I always wonder why it is I was chosen to receive this 'gift'. Why it is that I cannot remember anything about my past and had to relearn it all by reading pieces of paper given to me by Wesker. Who I now really do not believe anymore... I guess what I am saying is.. why is it that you, Chris, Barry, and all the other survivors continue to fight against Wesker? Most people would call what you do a foolish and childish attempt at divine retribution for all those years of suffering and for all the lives lost. I just see it as a futile attempt to stop a man who just cannot seem to die."

All of Julia's words may seem to have made Jill stop. What struck her the most was her last bit of lecture. The talk about stopping Wesker. Was it worth it? All these years . . . all these years of obstacles to end Wesker's reign of terror.
Jill thought for a moment, her eyes glancing to the floor beneath her. It took her time to actually think about it. Then she looked at Julia. "It's worth the pain, the suffering, and the obstacles to stop Wesker. Just because one man's idea that humanity is at the brink of deustrction, does not make it the majority vote to let that happen. Every civilization change, even if Wesker believes that humanity never changes. All of us, even me, is willing to go through many scales and obstacles to stop Wesker. The world should not suffer from what Wesker would of released. The lives of innocent people, die and turned wicked by his creation. Is that really worth it?" There she goes, that sense of strong justice within her surfaced.
Jill shook her head, just to get that thought out of her her. She continued to clean off the dry and what blood remained. "There. Now I need to cleanse the cut on your face." She gestured.

Julia chuckled to herself to Jill's response. It was rather foolish and yet is something to be admired. The words rung within her ears though as she thought to herself. :: Would the pain I would have to endure be worth what could possible be gained through my inevitable death if I went down that path... I do not believe that at this time it would be worthwhile as I still feel like there are things I need to do before I can die. ::
Looking down she saw that Jill had taken care of all her wounds. She then heard Jill speak "There, Now I need to cleanse the cut on your face." With that Julia tilted her head to the side allowing for ease of access to the cut. "Thank you Jill for helping with all the cuts. I dont think even with the gifts from Wesker that I wouldve been able to live for very much longer without medical attention of any type. As for Wesker's ambition all I do is follow him because of the 'antivirus'. I will follow him until Holly can find me a true remedy for this curse..."
With that she quieted up again. Keeping her eyes looking toward the window. She sighed once again as she closed her eyes. Allowing herself a few minutes to rest her eyes as she fell back into her own mind. Her thoughts scattered as she figured what all she would do. But instead of speaking inside of her mind she spoke out loud. In a light voice almost a whisper she said "With all that is going on I dont know if I should stay working with Wesker or perhaps I should leave and help out the BSAA against him. But for me to do that I would need to become like Wesker virus-wise... The only way I know I could do that is to have a virus be developed that merges with my own virus making it perfect. Oh well some things cannot be helped..."

Jill stood up now, since she had to clean up Julia's cut along her face. A new cloth was taken out of her small pouch, placing a dap or two of the hydroxide on it. Again, Jill warned about the possible stinging sensation. Afterwards, she'd gently place the cloth along the long cut on her face. It was a deep cut and Jill could not understand how far people would do just to beat them. This was proof that the Majini's had no soul, no humanity in them.
"You don't need to thank me. I'm just glad you're alive. This just proves that Wesker's little creations carry a trait of Wesker himself." What trait? Oh, no mercy, no soul, no humanity. That's what. The thought alone brought Jill to bite her bottom lip. It was so hard to believe a man so cold, so 'evil' would do something to one of his creations.
Then the mention of joining the BSAA had caught her attention. "It would be nice to see you with us, Julia. I'm sure that there is a way to find an anti-virus for you. And this Holly you speak of . . ." She trailed off. Jill knew Holly all too well, even when she was under Wesker's control. "Before we move ahead, we should find her. Maybe we can get that remedy you speak of." She suggested.

She cursed at the sudden sting of the cloth on the cut. It mustve been much deeper than she had anticipated. "Jill I would love to get the anti-virus but I cannot shake this feeling that since I am enhanced by the virus that it is inevitable that I confront Wesker in combat using these powers. If that is truely the case I will need to be stabilized so I can fight him on equal footing..."
As she spoke she kept one of her glowing blue eyes on Jill. Her mind was still racing at this point trying to figure out what all to say to someone who was quite possible the nicest person she had ever met. "Jill it is inside your record that you have antibodies for the T-virus inside of you correct? Have you allowed anyone to check them out and perhaps start the cure charge starting with the Tryant Virus..."

Jill was almost done cleaning out of the long cut along Julia's face. It was certianly deep, considering the remains of the blood on the cloth. She was just surprised that Julia could survive a brutal beating like this. "There are ways to get away from him, even if it means to risk your life. If you made it this far, then I'm sure you can stand up against him." She said and finally finished.
The mention of the antibiotics in her body seemed to have made Jill look at Julia. Yes, she remembered so well that her body produced them to tolerate the poison of the flowers in Africa. "Me? Well . . . I never had anyone try them out. At least not after I came back to the U.S. Even then, I don't know if my body can sitll do that." She hated to sound so negative but it was true. Should she still have the antibiotics? After having to have the P30 drug in her body on a daily basis, sure. But even so, doctors back at the BSAA were finding ways to wipe out most of the drug out of her system. Surely that didn't affect getting rid of the antibiotics too. Or so, she would hope so.

"Well we can still hope that it does." She said with a smile on her face. Who wouldve figured that Julia would have even talked with someone deemed an enemy to her by her master, let alone the person be one of the few that have broken their ties to the man. Julia thought to herself :: Would I be able to stop Wesker if I was stable enough to fight him... I doubt it but could I weaken the man enough to make it so that someone like Jill could finish the job? That seems a little bit easier to accomplish. ::
Julia's body ached as she felt the weight of all her injuries hit her. Her own regenerative capabilities will make most of these wounds vanish but the one across her face would last and scar over. "I wonder why it is I survived this beating... I know the virus within me helped with its regenerative capabilities but all I can remember is them kicking me in my chest as hard as they could. That should have ended my life... Perhaps Gemini is stronger than Wesker imagined."
As she spoke she closed her eyes. She ran a finger along the cut on her face tracing its location into her mind. :: A scar to remind me of what people can do to others when they dont understand one another. Or perhaps a scar to remind me why it is I should leave Wesker and join the BSAA and end his reign of terror. :: "Jill I would love to call you my friend but until I leave the service of Wesker I cannot. So I say that we keep the offer to join the BSAA out there. Cause if I et stabalized I will gladly join you..."

Jill found Julia's words. How could Julia survive a critical beating like that? Well, there are a few ways that could of been possible. Jill believed that it's not physical but also mental. A will -- a strong will that could keep one self from being dead. Jill was sure that if you had enough mental strength of the will, then you can survive anything. And that's what Jill was going to guess.
Jill stood up, tossing the bloody covered cloth onto a table near by. She adjust her baseball cap, then her gloves. "You didn't die, because you're strong. And not just physically, but mentally too. Whether or not you think or believe in that is entirely your choice." She added, placing a hand on her own hip.
Well, if Julia ever did want to join the BSAA, Jill would be more than happy to help. the more people who wanted to end bioterrorism, the better. A slight look of disappointment had crossed her face though overcome by the understanding of Julia's decline in the offer. Jill gave a small, single nod for it. "I understand. Just know the offer is still there." She assured.

"Thanks Jill. For both the offer and for helping me clean up all of these wounds. I doubt I would have made it much farther without any help." Julia smiled at Jill as she finally felt the weight leave her slightly. It would be several more hours before she would be able to leave the hiding spot and make it out of Kijuju.
She reflected on the words about she was both strong physically and mentally that Jill had said several minutes earlier. It was true that she was in the peak of her physical abilities but she had always doubted her own mental faculties. Perhaps this experience was for the best as it forced Julia to look into herself and to question the life she had become accustomed to. "You know I think that this happened for a reason... Everything seems to be set in motion it seems for a large confrontation shortly in the future. I think I was sent here to be pushed to my breaking point both physically and mentally. But I didnt break... I endured all the beatings, their fists beating me, their feet kicking me, and all the other horrors they did to me. Its as if Wesker sent me here to push me to become like him. To despise all of humanity like he does, yet I dont... In fact I feel sorry for all these people. I want to protect them from people like Albert Wesker now, people that pray upon all their fears and make them into monsters while he himself is the greatest of all monsters."
As she spoke she reached into her jeans. She felt the familiar crunch of the foil package of her cigarettes. After finishing talking she pulled the package out from her pants and looked at it. There was a half a cigarette left within it. She pulled out the half a cigarette and then frowned. Remembering that she didnt have her lighter she placed the cigarette in between her fingers.
